Understanding costings for Application groups over full RDP
Question
Hi Everyone
Working with a client who is coming from Citrix into WVD and wants to understand whether there are cost saving using application groups, so presenting just applications rather than a full desktop.
It makes perfect sense that accessing an application over a remote desktop will consume less resource on session host which means less hosts needing to power on but can’t validate this through reviewing the microsoft docs.
Does anyone know if that is the case that opting for Applications will indeed mean more users can be managed by a single session host.
Thanks

I have not seen any call out about this scenario in Microsoft docs.
But you are absolutely correct especially if they are planning to use Windows 10 multi-session which is not available in Citrix (on-prem) world.
I see a lot of potential cost-saving there!
