Appenforce.log is missing



Appenforce.log is missing on the device and applications deployed as required is stuck at downloading status as 0%.

DatatransferService.log – Error – Error sending DAV request. HTTP code 500, status ‘Internal Server Error’

Please advise to resolve the issue.

    If all is good on the server side with ConfigMgr, and the issue is with just one or two devices, then the easiest and common fix is to uninstall the ConfigMgr client, remove the CCM folders from c:\windows, reboot, and finally reinstall the ConfigMgr client. 9 out of 10 times, this takes care of the issue.


    1. Are you having this issue on all client machines or only few?

    2. Can you try to reinstall ccm client on ONLY one machine and see if that helps?

    3. Client in provisioning mode – Manually remove provisioning mode:
    Invoke-WmiMethod -Namespace root\CCM -Class SMS_Client -Name SetClientProvisioningMode -ArgumentList $false

    Looks like issue with your distribution point

    Is IIS working properly on the DP, are you able to access any package path from the machine ?

      Yes, Looks like issue with DP.
      None of the devices from the location are able to install apps.
      When I try to access the http://DP Server name/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$ I get 404 – File or directory not found.
