Can I able to manage Amazon ec2 instances (virtual machines) using SCCM?
Question
Can I Manage virtual machines using SCCM? What about Amazon’s ec2 instances?
I have almost 150 AWS EC2 instances which are discovered as a part of system discovery.
and it’s registering as Windows 2016 Server in AD and SCCM
So just for testing, I have tested the client push which is not working. even though I have added the client push account as a local admin to one of the workspace.
After that, I just installed SCCM client in one of the EC2 instances manually, and it’s working being able to push the applications and all.
But here is the one problem,
Since it’s a VM am able to push one of the users are logged in. otherwise, it will show as offline.
Is there any way to install the client for multiple EC2 instances?
Please suggest is there any possibility to manage AWS EC2 server instances by using SCCM.
Imp: What are the ports that need to open other than (80,443,445,1433,4022)?

Hi Vaishnava, can you help me with login script. Is this just regular client installation or any specific requirements for AWS?
Can you clarify this part pls
Since it’s a VM am able to push one of the users are logged in. otherwise, it will show as offline.
You mean client going offline ?
You can goahead and try to use login script to install clients.
No, it’s showing EC2 instance as offline just like in machine off stage.
