Thank you both for the answers. Manual test able to work (Uninstall SCCM 2007 agent, then install new agent).
Not sure if you have a script that can deploy new agent with script to be deployed from SCCM 2007 to involve uninstall 2007 agent and install CB agent?
    Appreciate that.

  1. I think you need to remove the 2007 agent. Officially the in-place upgrade of agent is not supported. But it might work without any issue.

Are these devices are on Windows 10?

    Hi,
    Found there’s SCCM2007 agent installed, not 2012.
Account used is a local admin, and it’s a Workstation. We try manual install & Client Push method. Don’t have any Roles on the Workstation.

Can we upgrade directly to Current Branch agent from SCCM 2007 agent?

      Hi

From SCCM 2007 agent to SCCM 2012 upgrade. You can use fresh installation method (Uninstall older version and install new version)

Because SCCM 2007 is 32 bit architect and starting from SCCM 2012 tool is 64 bit architect.

( That’s why SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 Application direct upgrade is not available from SCCM Server side).

From SCCM 2012 to Any CB agent version upgrade. You can use direct upgrade method.

      Thanks

How are you installing the agent, are you using client push method ?

    If so can you ensure
    – Client push account is configured in SCCM
    – Client push Account has admin privileges on the target server (may need to add to local admin group of the target server)
    – Default shares (Admin$) is accessible from SCCM site server
    – 445, 135 and RPC Dynamic ports are opened
