Central Antimalware Solution for Server Environment in Virtual Servers

Question
Hi all, I have to establish a central antimalware solution for my server environment (50 virtual servers). Can I (does it make sense) to use MECM only to protect and monitor the endpoints with EP solution? What will the licenses cost? can we only license the EP?

    To manage servers, you will have to license the system Center suite or use CIS licenses.

    The servers aren’t in the cloud, it’s an on-premises environment.
