CMG Certificate Request for CMG Service Name
Question
Hi All, I am looking for help in one of the Cloud management gateway requirements. Here is my scenario. The on-premise environment has public dns(example.public.com) and private dns (example.private.net) We are using internal domain to request the cmg authentication certificates so the Service name is going to be say (sccmcmg.private.net). My understanding is that I need to create CNAME for sccmcmg.private.net to Azure sccmcmg.cloudapp.net to resolve the name. Question that I am stuck at are
1. Do I need to request the web server cert using the public domain which is sccmcmg.public.com instead of sccmcmg.private.net.
2. Do I need to consider if the organization PKI is in Public Domain or Private Domain?
3. What would your advise on the Service Name? I would appreciate any advise that you can offer. Thanks
