ContentLibraryCleanup Issue

Question

We are trying to perform ContentLibraryCleanup on distribution point, whenever we run the tool we are getting below message for different contents. So help me to identify the all contents which are showing as distributed and missing from the DP.

 

Error Message: The provider reports that package P0100D8C is distributed and marked installed on the distribution point, but the package missing from the distribution point. Please redistribute it from the Configuration Manager console.

Note: Each time when we run after distributing the content its showing different package ID

    Can you pls share the reason to use this tool ?

    Microsoft advice is to use to the tool when you want delete the orphan package.

    Are you trying to delete orphan package ?

    Do you have full admin access in SCCM

    Have you tried to what-if mode

    I hope you get log file when you run… have you tried to check

      Facing disk space issue on DP and our Wintel team is working with Storage team to get the storage from last 3 months. so we have decided to do cleanup for orphan packages.

      Are you trying to delete orphan package ?
      Yes

      Do you have full admin access in SCCM?
      Yes

      Have you tried to what-if mode?
      tried using below commandline
      ContentLibraryCleanup.exe /q /dp DPName.domain /delete /log C:\TEMP

      I hope you get log file when you run… have you tried to check
      Will get log only when the deletion is initiated after checking the packages.
