DNS FUNCTIONALITY FROM SCCM

Hi Team,

we have a script it will query primary and secondary DNS and provide it is functioning or not. It will be captured in a text file local drive” we want to execute the script from sccm and capture the output…..is that possible..?

    You don’t have to sweat too much.

    if I understood the question correctly then you are trying to get the information about DNS configured values for Primary and Secondary.

    If yes then just query this registry and you will have what you want.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

    Match it for few clients so you will be confident that the data collected is not false positive.

  1. Output should be stored or viewed via ConfigMgr reports or you just need the output files in a network location?

    The later could be a bit easy to achieve?
