How can I Deploy Dot Net 4.8 via the Application Method
Question
how can I deploy Dot Net 4.8 via the Application method
I can find Silent install string but not uninstall string.
Please respond. I am trying to upgrade the sccm version, but I have to install the latest Dot Net 4.8 on all machines before that.

In the application, you need a detection method to know if it is installed or not.
Then install sting to install. Don’t have to have a deinstall. Can add afterward once it installs to the application

Jason Melrose, I opened a case with Microsoft a few years ago about .Net and they said using packages,s not applications.
Even if people are succeeding in installing with apps.

I am assuming this is beyond the SCCM server’s minimum requirement. Just put the install string and leave the uninstall string empty.
If you have to remove it, you have to use the DISM command. I highly advise not putting the uninstall string as there should be no reason to remove it.

From W10 1909, I think. You can’t uninstall or install 4.8. it comes with it

First of all, you don’t need to upgrade .Net on the whole estate – it is only for sccm infra servers. Also, 4.8 is now just recommended for CB 2111, not required.
The required one is 4.6.2. But I totally agree with updating it (I’m going to do that as well) cause the next sccm versions will not support 4.6.2.
To make an app you need a detection method and I believe it will be based on the registry.

You don’t need an uninstall string. I would guess that you would not ever need to uninstall it again.
