Mimatch of compliance data in SSRS and in Console monitoring

Question

Hi all,

I am finding a huge difference in percentage of compliance data of patch Tuesday in SSRS and in Console monitoring.In reports Overall Compliance 1 Showing only 50% complaint where as in Console monitoring it is showing 80% compliance.

Why is it so?

What should be the approach to troubleshoot?

Sample screen shot attached.

Thanks

    Thanks for reply.
    How often are you running software update evals?
    Once in a Day.
    I have updated 2 screen shots to clarify my query.
    Why it is showing the difference in compliance data?

    The first thing I suggest is to completely ignore the in-console compliance stats. They’re based on the All Computers collection and just aren’t usable/actionable. Just forgetting that they exist is a decent step towards sanity.

    How often are you running software update evals? That frequency is usually the biggest bottleneck in accuracy when comparing reports (really, the data in SQL) and the actual device. I know plenty of orgs that run that daily for that exact reason.

    Then you get situations like in your second paragraph where some status message got lost. To say nothing of clients that are just totally out of whack to begin with. Run the following Powershell to resend them all:

    (New-Object -ComObject Microsoft.CCM.UpdatesStore) .RefreshServerComplianceState()

    To do that at scale use something like Anoop’s client health solution:
