Patches failing to download on few PC’s

Question

Hi,

Patches are failing to download on few PC’s in our network.

Below is the error being shown in WUAhandler.log.

Verified Boundaries, BITS running and Tried recreating Software Distribution Folder.

    Thank you for the details. How many clients are like this? I mean failed to download updates?

    Could you please clear the download queue and re-initiate download once again for any 1 client?
    Here is how you can do that.

    1. Open CMD as Administrator.
    2. Once opened type wbemtest. That’s gonna open the tester for you.
    3. Now click on connect and enter root\ccm\SoftMgmtAgent
    4. Upon successful connect now click on Enum Classes and select Recursive. Don’t type anything in super class. Click OK. Now scroll all the way to last few lines and you will have “ContentRequestEx2” “DownloadContentRequestEx2” and “DownloadInfoEx2”. Double click on ContentRequestEx2 select instances. Delete all the lines you get in the next window. Do this for the other two as well.
    5. Now restart SMS AGENT HOST, WINDOWS UPDATE AND WMI services.
    6. Trigger Scan and once scan completes then trigger update deployment evaluation cycle.
    7. Read CTM and DTS closely now.

    Let me know if you see any success.
    I am assuming you would have already removed the deployment package from the respective DP and re-distributed the content.

    Still no success then call me @ 9986797100 . We can work together and get this one fixed.

    Hello Arun,

    A little background would help us.

    MECM Version:- 2103?
    SCCM Agent Version is upto date on the Machines you are trying to patch..?
    Boundaries configured :- IP Subnet Based, IP Address Range, AD Site Based..?
    What you see in CTM and DTS?

      Boundaries – AD site based ( checked location services log it’s picking the right DP)
      DTS error – 0x8020002B , Job state Suspended
      CTM – Job suspended after CCM_Downloadstatus_Downloading_Data
