SCCM Deployment
Question
Hi ,
I am beginner in SCCM , i just wants to know about one scenario.
A machine was in UNKNOWN status of a XYZ Deployment so it cant be able to receive that deployment , when i checked the Device status it reported to SCCM 10 days before (Hearbeat DDR, Policies).
Any possibility that we can make deployment reach to that machine?
thank you

Hi,
If the application deployments shows as unknown means it could be multiple reasons
Few reasons are below:
————————————
1. Machines are not connected with office network after deployment created.
2. Machines are offline
3. sccm agent corrupted
4. SCCM policy not received or applied on client machines
Kindly check that machine policy request date and time from console and verify that policy request date should be after your deployment date.
To force the policy on client – Use SCCM client notification method – using that method you can trigger the machine policy on those machines.

Thanks for your quick response!!!!
NOTE: I am deploying a fix to affected users who were disconnected from DOMAIN
1. Machines are not connected with office network after deployment created. -> Yes machine is in VPN and now user cannot able to receive FIX.
2. Machines are offline -> Connected to Internet.(made deployment settings to be deployed when also connected to internet not only vpn)
3. sccm agent corrupted -> SCCM is fine as per Console
4. SCCM policy not received or applied on client machines -> Used Client notification option to manually send policies but no use
Thanks
Are you able to fix this issue?
Nope , since client is not active and no policy flowing.
We made device connect to Company network which in-turn resolves the issue.
I had tried your mentioned steps but in my case it doesn’t helps.
Thanks
Yes you can go to console and right-click on the devices and try to initiate client policy (you can try Client notification option) .. that might help if the device is online
