SCCM upgrade from 1910 to 2002
Question
Hi,
We have a production environment where SCCM 1910 is running and CMG is configured.
We need to upgrade it to sccm 2002 to use tenant attach feature mainly.
So my question is what is the consequences or know issues after upgrading.
Actually I want to know if it affects CMG or it breaks something in the environment.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Thankyou everyone for the response!
Hi,
Microsoft officially released 2002 version. So you are good to with CB upgrade.
Incase, if you still worried then follow n-1 approach.
Thanks

There shouldn’t be any issues upgrading CM 1910 to 2002. Just make sure you run the pre-requisite checker first.
I don’t think there is any issue with upgrading to 2002.
Today Microsoft released more stable version of SCCM 2002 or Configuration manager 2002 version has been GA’ed
So my recommendation is to go ahead and deploy it to the production environment.

Thanks for the response!
Still I have some thoughts like, currently in my env. CMG is not working due to some issue so is Tenant attach dependent on CMG.
And second, is one of the prereq checklist if sccm 2002 upgrade is to remove MDM susbcriptiion before upgrading. Do we really need to remove it? Or we can go ahead with the upgrade?
Thanks!!
#2 – I don’t think so. You don’t need to remove the subscription … I hope you are not using “The hybrid MDM service” offering is retired as of September 1, 2019.
If you are talking about Azure Subscription you use for Co-management and CMD, then you don’t need to remove it at all
#1 No, tenant attach is not related to CMG. There is no direct dependency More details https://www.anoopcnair.com/sync-between-sccm-intune-portal-tenant-attach/
Thanks a lot!
