SCCM Urgent Help! Download stuck at 0%

Question

Hello guys,

We have built a SCCM 2006 Primary server with about 30 sites. And started deploying applications.

Initially we did testing on one site and we were able to test the applications, and now when we deployed to other sites, the downloading stuck at 0%

We tried changing the option “Do not download content”, which didn’t work either.

When i checked the DP’s the SMSPKGD$ folder on the DP’s were empty

But the console shows the data has been successfully distributed to the DP’s.

Here are few client logs.

This looks like a Boundary Issue.

If Boundaries are properly configured you might want to delete Software Distribution folder and try downloading again.

Is this only a single device or on a particular subnet or all devices ?

  1. I think it’s not able to get the DP list? Are you able to see the DPs in the log files?
    The following logs might help
    CAS.log and DataTransferService.log file

When I checked the DP’s the SMSPKGD$ folder on the DP’s were empty – This is fine because applications in SCCM 2012 and DB don’t use that folder structure to store the content.

You can try Content Library Tool https://www.anoopcnair.com/configmgr-sccm-content-library-explorer-tool/ to check the content.

But I don’t think that is the problem in your scenario. You need to make sure the client Boundaries are part of the boundary group and assigned to MP/DP etc…

We are happy to help….Urgent help – Well I don’t think online forums are in place for urgent help.

This is a community-driven forum so the help will be available based on the availability of resources and other community contributors.

Thank you for your reply Anoop. I am really grad to see your response.

I have checked for the content on the DP’s using the Content Library Tool. The content is available on the DP’s

Also, i have checked for the Boundaries. They are defined properly added to the Boundary groups – which in turn were added to the DP.

Anything else i can check on.

Thank you very much for your response.

      • I try to check the locationservices.log to find out whether the client is able to select an MP and the contact DP

And then I also check content related logs depending on your configuration on the client-side

          Hello Anoop,

Checked for the locationservices log and the client did locate the DP.
