Delivery Optimization and MCC

Question

Want to know few things on Delivery optimization and MCC.

  1. Wanted to know if DO is used for the PCs with purely connected to interent, office (LAN and Wi-fI) and VPN.
  2. Also want an understanding on the Download mode. what is the best suited for DO in intune which can cover scenarios like interent, office (LAN and Wi-fI) and VPN.
  3. Do we have a detailed documentation on this?
