Enabling Chrome Full-Screen Kiosk Mode with Intune

Question

Hi All,

Is there a way that we can enable chrome as full screen kiosk mode using Intune. The major requirement is this customer facing devices which has some specific URL. I was able to achieve everything but only the issue is customers can open other tabs.

    Yes u can configure Chrome for Kiosk

    I have implemented the same but used Edge and only allow URL you need.

    Joe Bowers yes I tried and it’s working but the requirement from customer is they don’t want to see any tabs

    i did it a few years back setting the home page to the page you want opened and adding a key to the registry under run “C:Program Files (x86)GoogleChromeApplicationChrome.exe” –kiosk

    Joe Terracciano this setting pushed through Intune not working. But the same at system level it’s working

    Why does it have to be Chrome? Why can’t you use Edge? This is very easy with Edge.

    Brian Gade yes I tried edge it’s working but installing in a in private mode. We have requirement as some configuration is required to saved at browser level which is not happening on edge

    You could target a URL allow list via defender, so even if they can open a new tab they can’t go anywhere but that page
