Managing of settings for the Windows 11 taskbar

Question

Hi All,

I have been struggling with the managing settings for the Windows 11 taskbar, I’ll try to set the registry entries with Powershell. All I have tried failed. Anyone else having this issue, or any ideas on how to do this

Andre Williams This only works when devices are also added in the on-premises AD. My devices are not, unfortunately.

Ismail Kirik When using the XML option, you refer to a configuration profile. I tried that option also, but I’m able to select the XML file created.
One search option mentioned to paste the whole XML text. But this also did not work.

Anthony Ferino, that is only the start menu. I found that also, but that is step 2 for the migration

You can create an XML file for setting the taskbar and menu start for your own purposes

Ismail Kirik, I have used the start menu and taskbar XML for layout in Windows 10, so I believe there should be one for Windows 11 too

Ismail Kirik This no longer works on 11.
