Microsoft Update via Intune Update ring getting failed.

Question

Hi All,

I have created the Update ring from Intune Portal and deployed this policy to Devices. Even the “Feature Update for Win10 & Later also configured.

I can see the “Device status” of this ring Succeeded but when I check in Machine still the Updates are not getting installed.

“View Configured Update Policies” are showing some by “Group Policy” & some by “Mobile device Management” as shown in the attached image.

Removed the WUFB related group’s from the AD. Still the same.

Your Assistance will be highly appreciated !!

  1. Check the registry entries? Some of these policies are tattooed into the registry it won’t get removed even after removing the device from the server-side policy

    1. Patching Registry ->ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftPolicyManagercurrentdeviceUpdate
