Update Compliance
Question
Hello Guys,
We are using WuFB in our organization for quite a time now and use Update Compliance to analyze update status. I would like to know the troubleshooting steps that can be that can be taken to know why the clients are not getting updated. I am finding difficult to see what event gives me the right info in event vwr on the update failures. Would be great if you can set a video conf to explain the same or even a nice article (as you guys aways do the best) on this topic.
Thank you.

Hello Deepak,
Thank you for the information.
I follow all the posts(lets say most of them) and have already read the one suggested. We have a policy ring created along with update compliance dashboard. I could see most of the clients fail to update. For troubleshooting I read the below MS blogs:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-troubleshooting
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-logs
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-error-reference
Unfortunately, most if the error codes are not documented here. One common error I face on most of the clients is:
“The device has been prevented from being offered this update due to a Safeguard hold. For more information about public safeguards, review the Windows 10 release information page for the affected version. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-information/”
I am bit confused to know what Event Log I can check to get a reason for this failure. Also, the .etl files recorded pertaining to update cannot be viewed from EventVwr.
It would be really helpful, if you can guide me with the ways we can troubleshoot Windows Update failures from WuFB.
Thank you in Advance.
