Build issue – 0x8007002

Question

Hi Team,

Facing build issue only for specific model(Latitude 7212 rugged tablet) device, verified that we have added correct network and storage drivers in boot image(A23 WinPE Driver pack).

Please find the attached log and help me fix the issue.

tried both 1909 and 20H2 images but no luck.

  1. Have you done the basic troubleshooting steps?

    Is this only device in that model having problem?
    Is this the first time you are building this model device?

    Have you tried to remove the existing records of this device from sccm and try again?

      Yes, tried to re-distribute the driver package

      Is this only device in that model having problem?
      Yes

      Is this the first time you are building this model device?
      No, we built same model devices earlier

      Have you tried to remove the existing records of this device from sccm and try again?
      yes, deleted the unknown entry by searching MAC address.

      Have you tried ?
      “Clear required PXE deployments”
      Yes, clicked “Clear required PXE deployments” for “All Unknown Computers” collection

      • Hello Prasanth, If Same model deployments working for you earlier, Had you done any recent changes to drivers! I didn’t see anything much in logs.

        Please try reinitiate the deployments and share the fresh logs for further help.

          Yes, we were able build the same model machine earlier. the changes we made recently are MECM 2010 upgrade and boot image driver update with dell A23 WinPE Driver pack.

          we will ask Local IT tech to try again and collect the logs if its failed. Meanwhile will also check if dell released new driver pack.

            Since machine don’t have on-board NIC requested Local IT tech to verify if they are using right docking station/Adapter.
            they are using USB C type to LAN adapter to image instead of docking station which is procured with Laptop. So requested them use the right one.
