Best Practice to upgrade Windows 10 from 1909 to 20H2
Question
Hello Team,
As most of you might have upgraded your environment I want to understand what is the best practice to upgrade Windows 10 from 1909 to 20H2.
Currently I have more than 25k machines in my environment on version 1909.I am updating them via Feature update option of SCCM.
I have observed that the update is taking more than 2-3 hours to download on client machine on LAN itself, the size is approx 4GB and i think it should take that much of time.
We deploy applications/packages more than 4GB of size and they dont take this much of time.
Am i missing something?
Any other method to upgrade the windows 10 client machines ( keeping in mind many users are still logging from home andon VPN)

Hi Ankit,
You could test Enablement Package and offer the feature update from Software Center! If it’s feasible for your environment.
Hello Jitesh,
Enablement package is not available when upgrading from 1909 to 20H2.
My only concern is does 4GB of feature update normally take 2-3 hours to download?
We are deploying packages more than 25GB and they get downloaded on 1 hour.
I suggest IPU in that scenario! https://www.anoopcnair.com/deploy-windows-10-21h2-using-sccm-configmgr/
